What to expect
The treatment process
Pre-Removal
Before Any Laser Treatment Begins:
Avoid expose to sunlight, sunbeds and fake tan for at least 4 weeks
If the tattooed area is covered in hair, please shave the area 1 day prior to the treatment
Do advise us of any change in health/medication
Understand that laser tattoo removal typically requires multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart to achieve desired results. Be prepared for the possibility of discomfort during treatment and follow-up care instructions for optimal healing.
Test Patches
We always recommend booking a free consultation and patch test at least 48 hours before your laser tattoo removal session.
We select a small, inconspicuous area of the tattoo for the test patch. This allows you to evaluate the reaction without impacting the overall appearance of the tattoo significantly.
Post-Removal
After Treatment:
We will apply an ice pack for a few minutes to help the skin settle, then apply savlon gel and a dressing to the treated area.
We recommend applying an ice pack again once you get home, this will minimise the chance of blistering.
Skin will likely be red, swollen and a sensitive a couple of days
If the skin is unbroken, you can apply Aloe Vera gel to aid healing
Whilst Healing
Avoid restrictive clothing,
Avoid perfume or body lotion on the area
Avoid hot baths, continuous soaking, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools
Avoid lying in the sun or sun beds
Avoid picking at any scabs or bursting blisters
